Our Mission

Our vision:  to eradicate gun violence in communities of color through education, awareness and public policy.

The mission of the Rohan Levy Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is to combat gun violence in Brooklyn communities of color and low socioeconomic status by providing:

  •  gun awareness and educational resources to community youth; and
  • support and resources to families impacted by youth gun violence.

To fulfill it's mission, the Foundation will partner with local elected officials, school districts, and community-based and national organizations.

For Rohan

Rohan Levy Foundation was founded in honor of Rohan Levy, a promising 15 year old young man who was killed by gun violence in his Brooklyn community.

On February 20, 2017 Rohan was walking in his East Flatbush neighborhood with friends when they were attacked by a hail of bullets.

Rohan and a friend were both struck. When the bullets stopped, Rohan had sustained a life-threatening injury. His friend's injuries were not life-threatening. Rohan succumbed to his injury and passed away on February 23, 2017.
